Annual Review of Oral Diseases

The annual review of oral diseases (Annu. rev. oral dis., ISSN 0719-9155) covers significant advances in our understanding of the initiation, progression and treatment of important oral diseases. Emphasis is placed on current and evolving concepts of disease pathogenesis, molecular/morphologic alterations and evidence-based medicine associated with oral diseases.

Annual review of oral diseases publishes narrative reviews continuously (1 number and volume per year; forthcoming 2019). Submissions are open!

Submission instructions

The manuscripts should be sent by email (cerivera{@} Publication in this journal is totally free (no article submission charges nor article processing charges and no publication fees).

For all communications, the journal uses peer review. In order to avoid plagiarism, all files are analyzed with online tools. To all published articles are assigned a unique alphanumeric identification and a DOI.

All review articles are peer-reviewed. They should be written for the general dentists, not specialists. Consequently, they may include material that might be considered too introductory for specialists in the field being covered.

The text is limited to 2500 words and 50 references (mini reviews). Only manuscripts written in English or Spanish will be considered. All pages should be double-spaced.

Conflicts of interest: Because the essence of review articles is selection and interpretation of the literature, the Journal expects that the authors of such articles will not have significant financial associations with a company (or its competitor) that makes a product discussed in the article.
